The AMT tweeter was first introduced by Dr. Oskar Heil in the early 70's. Over the years many companies have experimented with Dr. Heil's design to offer their own versions of air motion tweeters. Although the AMT design seems simple at first glance, it is actually very difficult to achieve an AMT tweeter with exceptional sound.

Mr. Lau has spent several years experimenting with the AMT design. Trying many different materials for the diaphragm, Mr. Lau has come up with a proprietary softer material that translates into a more airy and softer sound. This softer presence makes the tweeter more comfortable to the ear in intimate listening environments such as home audio, near field monitors or car audio systems. The front plate opening slots have been carefully engineered for the smoothest frequency response. Special 3-D CNC cutting was employed to produce the optimal openings.
