'I was privileged enough to work at Duntech in the mid eighties, John Dunlavy's Australian venture. Duntech, along with the well regarded Sovereign 2001, also made PCL-3 and PCL-5 wall speakers under the Audio Standards Corporation brand. These drivers were used in the PCL-3 and PCL-5 which were also held in high regard during that period. This tweeter when used properly can deliver very good sound for the price. Its only downside is power handling; you need to be conservative and sensible with crossover points. This driver could partner very nicely with a smaller mid-bass driver for a small bookshelf speaker for low to medium level listening with excellent results. If you are on a tight budget and they meet your other technical requirements for a tweeter do consider these. Maybe get some extras as spares given the price.' Review by Gary Williams.
