Description
Aurasound Arcade Shaker Kit
Another prize from the Aurasound surplus stock. This kit was designed to attach the AST-1B-4 25W Bass Shaker to a gaming chair. The kit comes with an amplifier to power it too. I'm sure it could be used along with your computer speakers too for watching movies on your computer.
Included:
- (1) Mono Power Amplifier (class B)
- (1) AST-1B-4 Bass Shaker
- (1) Power Transformer (120V)
- (1) 3.5mm mini-jack cord
- (1) RCA to quick connect (that doesn't fit Bass Shaker) cord
- (2) Y connectors
- (2) quick connects that fit the Bass Shaker
- (1) instructions
The quick connects on the RCA speaker cord don't fit the Bass Shaker. They have supplied another set of quick connects so you can cut the wrong ones off and attach the new ones. It might not be a terrible idea to just make a new cord with thicker wire, RCA on one end and the supplied quick connects on the other.
The instructions show how to wire it so you can split the input between the amplifier and your computer speakers amplifier. I think it might be easier to get a 3.5mm mini jack "Y" connector.

The amplifier has an on/off/volume control switch. There is a filter switch, but I don't know what it is supposed filter. Try it and see.

The input is a 3.5mm mini jack. There is a switch for Game and Music and you should play with each. There is a switch for Normal, A and B and I don't know what these are for either. Again, try them out.
Here is the inside.

Here is the Bass Shaker.

Instructions (also in the pdf file)

This is a surplus item and it is no longer supported by Aurasound. Don't bother sending in the warranty card. The contact numbers on the installation sheet are not valid. If there is anything wrong with the product we will replace it or refund it if we are sold out. We will not provide replacements to international locations, only refund for the item. We tested some and they are working, but these things are 17 years old.
Can't find the data? Many loudspeaker spec sheets (PDF) are available.
