ScanSpeak D2908/7140 Beryllium Dome Revelator Tweeter

Been building audio since I was 12, I'm 38.

I bought this tweeter February 2023, it literally took me 3 months and thousands of dollars worth of parts, tweaking my network daily, being on the verge of pulling my hair out because it sounded like trash, but in the end I was able to get this tweeter to really sing properly.

Once it starts singing I don't think there are many tweeters on the market at any price that can deliver the music experience this tweeter can.

That said the illuminator (Be) D3004/6640-00 is the more refined product. Illuminator sounds very close (gives at least 90% of the experience) to a well tuned Revelator (Be) and it's a much friendlier tweeter.

Overall I prefer the Revelator, just because it can produce the full grain and rawness, where the illuminator is slightly rounded and sweeter and cannot produce that edge. Still the two are very similar sounding, and one is much more refined.
