10.0 mfd Polypropylene Cap 10MFDP/TYEE

Product review of 10MFDP_TYEE, 'I installed 4 of these caps for input DC blocking in my Luxman M-111 4 channel amplifier. The original caps were 100uF50V electrolytic which I replaced with 10uF100V Mylar caps which were then replaced with 6.8uF250V polypropylene caps. These TYEE caps are far better than the previous caps in their clarity and dynamics. These caps are ideal for my situation because they are small for a 10uF polypropylene cap so they are easier to fit into the limited space available and because they are on the input they do not need a high voltage rating which would increase the size of the capacitor. These caps have copper leads whereas my previous 6.8 uF polypropylene caps had steel leads which I feel do not perform as well. Because of the low price I bought 32 pieces. Of this order 30 pieces measured within 2% of nominal capacitance and the worst measured 9.65 uF which is well within the 10% rated tolerance. As a bonus the shipping was cheaper than originally quoted so Madisound gave me a credit for the difference. I really appreciate that kind of service.' Review by Frederick Arikado.
