The Silver Flute line offers exceptional value, build quality, and versatility.
The woofer cones and dust caps are made from a special mixture of wool and paper fibers. These wool fibers help reduce cone resonance, and give the woofers a slightly warmer sound than traditional paper cones.
The woofers have durable rubber surrounds and robust cast metal frames. The large voice coils are vented through the back plate.
These Silver Flute woofers are available in 4 and 8 ohm.
Consider this product for home stereo, surround sound, autosound systems, and commercial line arrays.

Siver Flute
There are some folks like my self that are always looking to find hidden gems that no one really knows about that can be gotten for very little money. So when I come across a find like this I'm quite pleased. Most shoppers want flash and a name and are not going to be so likely to get all excited over a speaker with a name like silver flute. When I read the name Silver Flute the first thing that came to my mind was "H.R. PuffNStuff". Go Figure.
Very Happy
Initial Listening Impressions:
Imaging: Vocals are front and center and do not drift. These guys can hold a sound stage together very well. I am very impressed at how well these image and how large the sound stage is. I'm anxious to see how these do off axis in a car door.
Mid-range Clarity: I could listen to these all day. I am not saying that they have the openness of a horn, but they are pretty open and very smooth. Still pretty amazed how nicely these roll off without a crossover. Eda James was right in the room with me, complete with all the detail. The breadth and depth of her range was very apparent.
Mid-bass: This I can't really comment on because of them being in an open baffle arrangement at the moment. The upper mid-bass does sound really good at the moment. Tight, clean and no hint of muddiness. The more they play the better they get. They are going to crossed over pretty steep in the car at around 80hz when I install them as they are going to see a solid 150 watts from the late model Fosgate Power 300. I can't wait.
Once I get these in the car this weekend I will finish up the review. For now, I would highly recommend these to anyone. You will really enjoy them. I'm considering buying four more and pairing them with a set of horns for my living room. I have a set of old horns and a sub laying around that these might go well with.
Other speakers I have purchased: SEAS, Aura, Dayton Audio, Morel ECWs, Vifa and Aurum.
Amazing driver!
Coming in at a $28 price tag for the DA-175, I expected this to be about the same, but boy was I wrong. This driver makes the DA-175 look like it should be $15. Massive motor, surprisingly well built, very nice cast frame, and overall incredible driver. I've been designing speakers for about a year now, and I was absolutely blown away by this driver.
As for the sound? The bass is incredible even free air in my car, the vocals are crystal clear, and it plays smoothly up to the 2000hz crossover point I'm using it for. By far the best 6.5" driver I've ever used. This is one perfect example of why price does not in any way indicate quality and performance. This driver should be selling for well over $50.
