Accuton P173 Passive Radiator with Aluminum Cone

The P173 is a 6.5 inch passive radiator with aluminium dome. Extra mass can easily be added to tune the resonance frequency. A simple screw mount provides fixing of stainlesssteel discs in the desired quantity. The values of Vas and Cms allow forextensivetuningand various box sizes. The stated resonance frequency of the passive radiator is taken at 3mm excursion to givea realistic value. It can be calculated by the following equations:

Design Suggestion:

If used with the C173-6-191 or C173-6-191E, try a 0.5 to 0.7 cubic foot box and add 15 grams of weight to the passive radiator.
