Sample Box Suggestions:
- Sealed box of 0.25 cubic feet (7 liters) for a 3dB down of 83Hz and 6dB down of 66Hz
- Sealed box of 0.5 cubic feet (14 liters) for a 3dB down of 80Hz and 6dB down of 59Hz
The larger sealed box has a more gradual roll off on the low end.
For two woofers you double the volume.
- Vented box of 0.5 cubic feet with a 2” diameter vent by 4” long for a 3dB down of 50Hz.
- Vented box of 0.65 cubic feet with a 2” diameter vent by 4” long for a 3dB down of 45Hz.
- Vented box of 0.85 cubic feet with a 2” diameter vent by 3.5” long for a 3dB down of 40Hz.
For two woofers vented, double the volume and double the ports. For two woofers vented with single port:
- Two woofers in 1 cubic foot, 4” diameter vent by 7.75” long.
- Two woofers in 1.3 cubic foot, 4” diameter vent by 7” long.
- Two woofers in 1.75 cubic foot, 4” diameter vent by 6.5” long.
This woofer has a 170mm flange diameter like the now discontinued P17WJ00 woofers, it should make for a good replacement.
