Fostex FE208EZ 8" Full Range Sigma Series. Features include a unique Hyperbolic Paraboloid shell diaphragm, UDR tangential edge damping and ES cone manufactured from banana plant fiber. This all helps to produce a smooth and detailed sound.

Had these run in now for about two months. It took that long. Now they’re sounding great standalone. Not shouty at all, feeling very balanced. Surprisingly good on hip hop and electronic music, which has need a pleasant surprise. Excellent for voice in movies. Overall I’ve thrown everything at them and they just shine!

I have added a tweeter, to handle the highest spark, but it’s not absolutely needed. I’ll buy these again for future projects and highly recommend. They also look stunning, paper cone is magnificent in itself.

Excellent drivers

I bought a pair of these and have been really impressed. Great sound at any volume level. Still experimenting but 8” drivers in a solid and inexpensive 1.1 cubic foot box has worked well so far.

Saw a set of Cain & Cain with 6.5” Fostex drivers and super tweeters which started me on the journey. I and was inspired by the sound and the stunning cabinetry but the size and weight is just too much. Everything is a trade off but I am very satisfied with the smaller and more manageable cabinets and the great sound from the 8” drivers.
