High output with smooth upper midrange, can tune well down to the 50 Hz region.

Classic handcoated paper cone and matching natural rubber surround produce a well behaved roll off characteristic and reduce potential resonance problems. Long, high temperature voice coil wound on an aluminium voice coil former gives low distortion and high power handling capacity. Extra large magnet system provides high efficiency and good transient response, and parameters that make this driver perfect for high efficiency 2-way system. Bumped backplate in the magnet system allows maximum utilization of the long voice coil without mechanical limitation. Extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflexion, air flow noise and cavity resonances to a minimum. Vented pole piece.

• 0.5 cubic foot sealed box with 20% filling for a 3dB down (f3) of 95Hz
• 1.0 to 1.25 cubic feet vented with 3" diameter vent by 8" long for f3 about 60Hz
• 1.5 cubic feet vented with 3" diameter vent by 5" long for f3 of 54Hz
• 1.75 cubic feet vented with 3" diameter vent by 4" long for f3 of 50Hz
• 2.0 cubic feet vented with 3" diameter vent by 3" long for f3 of 46Hz
