The Silver Flute line offers exceptional value, build quality, and versatility.

The woofer cones and dust caps are made from a special mixture of wool and paper fibers. These wool fibers help reduce cone resonance, and give the woofers a slightly warmer sound than traditional paper cones.

The woofers have durable rubber surrounds and robust cast metal frames. The large voice coils are vented through the back plate.

These Silver Flute woofers are available in 4 and 8 ohm.

Consider this product for home stereo, surround sound, autosound systems, and commercial line arrays.

Dark and smooth
If you desire smooth sound with nice deep bass these are a great speakers. The frequency response is flat thru most of its usable range and there's no music that could upset these speakers. They have a very natural and soft roll-off and also operate well without a cross-over if put in a finely tuned sealed cabinet with damping material. I have also used these in a studio monitor set up with very good results. They can be crossed over higher than most woofers in its catagory without the need for a notch filter. Rich dark smooth sound that satisfies.

'These drivers work very well in an old double bass reflex cab once available for Fostex full range I paired them with Dayton planar tweeter crossed at 3K the sound is well worth the cost. I think I will try them in an open baffle with the Galaxy Audio Neolite 5'' and the planar tweet crossed at 1.1K /8.8K with 3rd order for the tweet and 1st order for mid and low. 'I want to thank Madisound for the recommendation to try the 8" Silver Flute woofers for my vintage Mission 700S speakers. I have been listening to them for over a week now, and they are a quality woofer with a flat midrange and tight bass. As best as I can recollect they are as good as my OEM woofers and can definitely cross over at 3, 200 Hz. I would recommend these to anyone needing an 8" replacement woofer for a two way system with a high cross over requirement' Review by Madisound Speakers. Posted by Madisound.
