Audax TW025A20 1" Titanium Dome Tweeter

The highest build quality I’ve ever seen in a tweeter. No discernible difference between this model and the gold dome TW025A28. Both deliver amazing clarity and detail. I didn’t know I was listening to distortion until is was absent in both Audax models.

I am using this tweeter in a two way active speaker system, using a fourth order electronic crossover with a 2 k crossover point, and powered by Rotel amps through 10 feet of Audioquest FT-4 speaker wire (see the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eyO7CmRWo8 - I mention the Seas tweeters in the video, but I later changed those out for the Audax units). These tweeters are among the brightest of those I have purchased and used from Madisound, they seemed too bright to my ears at first and I was not very happy with them. Now that I've had them in the system for over a year, they seemed to have softened a bit, which the folks here at Madisound tell me does happen to tweeters over time. These are very clean and clear, but not as pleasing to my ears as my Focal titanium dome tweeters, which were in the same price range but which are no longer available. I'd love to put them up against the Eton Ceramic dome tweeters, I suspect those would be superior, if one is willing to spend the extra money.
