Precision cast and surface treated magnesium cone coupled to a natural rubber surround showing no sign of midrange (edge) resonances.

Large magnet system with bumped back plate makes room for extreme coil excursions.
Heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece reduce non linear and modulation distortion and increase overload margin.
Extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment.
Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflexion, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.
Gold plated terminals mounted on a glass fibre reinforced plate to reduce contact resistance and improve reliability.

Suggested box alignments:

Sealed box of 0.15 cubic feet for an F3 of 115Hz. 50% filling

Vented box of 0.3 cubic feet for an F3 of 63Hz. 1.5" diameter vent by 6.25" long

Vented box of 0.5 cubic feet for and F3 of 48Hz. 2" diameter vent by 6.25" long

I have found a quite amazing driver in these Seas Magnesium woofers. What a lot of people do not realize is that the high frequency detail and resolution is often affected by the woofer, even if the crossover frequency is lower (my crossover is at about 3.1khz). There is an incredible amount of detail and resolution in these drivers. Lots of attack and slam. Probably one of the most crisp and clear sounding drivers - the music was just so "there". If you have any doubt on these drivers, just look at Joseph Audio speakers!
