Easy to build - loads of clean power

Nilai is the latest in the evolution of Class D amplification. The kit is very straightforward to put together - no soldering. The power supply and class D modules are supplied pre-assembled. You screw the modules and power supply to the supplied chassis and then use the supplied connectors to connect everything together. The kit has been changed since the printed instructions were created so I suggest watching the latest assembly instructions on youtube. Once assembled, the amp provides loads of clean power. I have paired it with a tube preamp and the result is fantastic.
Almost great

Assembly was acceptably straight forward. Some of the steps were clunky, requiring 3-4 hands or clever use of other elements to complete a step. The box internals also get a bit crowded in the back right near the power socket, requiring further dexterity and esteemed patience. (Tip: Do not be in a rush to assemble this.)
I was also unpleasantly surprised to see this shipped without a mains AC cable or a 12v trigger cable. HELLO!?!?!
Finally, the kit's real shortcoming: binding posts. There are two big issues with them:
1. I've tried to use Mogami W3104 in bi-wire, but I must pare down some of the copper strand in order to get into the terminal. In fact, even just single 12 guage looks to be a stretch for them. There really ought to have been some documentation on this specification. It's not even catalogued on Hypex's site.
2. The wire will also be pinched at a tight angle due to the essentially 1RU height of the chassis; a result of practically unconfigurable orientation of the posts' outbound pathing.
Considering the target audience's enthusiasm for gear, these binding posts MUST be elevated to match, or at least offered in various sizes. I also recall reading in the included literature that some of the internal wiring is CCA. If that is indeed Copper clad Aluminum, that could use an upgrade as well.
