Supra Classic 2.5 Speaker Cable by the running foot
3.28 feet = 1 meter
13AWG, Tin plated OFC copper, Ion stable PVC Ice Blue Jacket
The SUPRA Classic series comprises highly flexible cables containing tin plated multi-stranded OFC copper of purity degree 5N, which means >99.999% pure, i.e. purer than five nines. The insulation is a special ion stable PVC which minimizes corrosion of the sonically benign tin surface. The tin contributes to a better sound quality by minimizing the skin-effect and making less current jumps between the wire surfaces.
This series covers all Hi-Fi applications from low power speakers, such as rear speakers of home theatre systems, to high power systems with long cable lengths.

Fantastic speaker wire

I could kick myself for not finding this speaker wire sooner. That is after buying Audioquest type 8 speaker cable. Not to mention the price I paid for that.Yes, it is good speaker cable, however, the Supra is just as good if not better. Also, the price of the Supra is mega cheaper.I paid close to 200 bucks for Audioquest type 8 . The Supra was under 30 bucks and is fantastic speaker wire and it is not less than in any form or manner.
Thank you Madisound for offering a fantastic product at such a low price where anyone can afford it and improves the sound of your speakers !

Very nice cable with great combination of high strand count and jacket to allow for flexibility. Use it for a no compromise internal wiring (arguably overkill) application or run it double duty as main lengths to your amplifier.
Detailed without sounding bright

A friend from OZ recommended the Supra Classic 2.5, seeing the price I gave it a try.
I used the Classic between my 3 way NHT w/silk domes and my Exposure 1020S2 integrated. The 2.5 is rated as a 13 awg but I used the wire stripper on 10 -too big but 12 was too small.
Compared to previous cables the Classic didn't sound bright, the opposite yet it's more revealing, with lots of detail in the mids. Possibly for that reason they image absolutely great, and with the right recording there's depth I didn't think possible on my system.
I'm sure there's better cable out there but nowhere close to this price. I ordered an additional length to bi-wire and the sound opened even more.
I have the impression the Exposure is susceptible as to what speaker cables it's connected. What I've been using and compared the Classic to:
- KnewKoncept Kord 12awg, they sounded detailed with lots of air, but at expense of the mids and the upper lows which were too recessed for my system, the bottom was solid though.
- Megacable (flat 14 awg) the sound was balanced and I used it for some time, but the neither the soundstage nor the detail were all that great.
- Monoprice 12AWG CL2 Rated 2-Conductor for In-Wall. Great bass, tight and punchy and while possibly good enough for an AVR, here the top end was shut-in as if it hit a brick wall, the mid to lower treble were very harsh.
