With the same external dimensions as the MICRO, the MICRO-C features the high-end 4” SB12CAC ceramic cone midwoofer for a truly exhilarating sound experience. This speaker is capable of unbelievable detail and satisfying bass.

The Micro-C is a compact 2-way ideal for bookshelf, desktop, and smaller system use. Treat yourself to far better sound quality than comparable pre-assembled consumer speakers can offer. This little speaker kit packs a punch and sounds great doing it!

“Scary” good

I built a pair of cabinets to spec based on drawings from the SB website. This was not a beginner’s task. It was the first time I’ve ever incorporated a “slot port” into a build. The result was an excellent sounding pair using the drivers and crossover in this kit. The friend I built them for said it was a bit “scary”, as though Miles Davis was right there in front of him playing. The size of the drivers and the cabinet is a bit deceiving. These make excellent office speakers. Great definition. Pretty good punch to the bass. I’m plotting to make another pair. I’m thinking a metallic candy apple red mdf cabinet would suit them well, also.

I finished building my speakers yesterday and have been listening to them every chance I get. I cannot believe how great they are. I have set them up on my desk and I feel like I'm sitting in a concert hall. I am very glad I did not waste money on any other speakers. If you are looking for astounding speakers with a small footprint do not hesitate to buy these.

The build process went pretty smoothly, but (1) I was surprised the kit did not include screws for mounting the drivers (Adam was very helpful and sent me some); (2) pre-drilled pilot holes for attaching the crossovers would have been nice, but i made a cardboard template to facilitate doing that myself. Also, I used quick connectors to connect the crossovers to the binding posts to avoid poking a hot soldering iron into those small cabinets.
