The A50 is an absolute top of the line large floorstanding speaker using four Ellipticor drivers per cabinet in a 3.5-way configuration.

Crossover Information
As with all open source designs in which a schematic is publicly available, Madisound can supply the high-end capacitors, inductors, and resistors required for the crossovers.
We have selected staff favorite parts for our own A50 build, leaving nothing to chance on a speaker of this stature. We recognize everyone has their personal preference in parts, so can help walk you through the options for your own project.
Professionally assembled built to order crossovers are also available. This is a great option for builders confident in their carpentry and building skills, but prefer to take any guesswork out of the network assembly. Contact us for a quote.
We build our crossovers on our silver tinned inlaid OFC copper circuit boards. For those building their own, point-to-point wiring on breadboards is the most common practice.
Make sure to wire the D8404 midrange with reverse polarity.
The A50-II option which substitutes a Hypex DSP amp for the passive crossover on the 15" woofer, removes six components and lowers the crossover parts cost.
