Great woofer for 3-way. 11mm xmax! This 10" woofer features a proprietary composition paper cone with a special coating. The rubber surround has been carefully chosen to properly dampen the cone movement. The open-structure cast frame has been specially engineered for minimum reflections and good air flow.

Very happy with performance for my unique application

This is being used in a 5.5cuft sealed enclosure in the passenger footwell of my SQ competition vehicle to cover 50-110hz with LR4 filter slopes. An Acoustic Elegance IB15AU subwoofer takes over the lower frequencies. I modelled at least a dozen drivers for this specific application and this one had the best balance of efficiency and value. Build quality is excellent typical of SB Acoustics. It provides an effortless and highly resolving upper bass which the typical car audio branded shallow subs just can't match IMO. Likely in part due to a static inductance below 0.5, a motor force to mms ratio less than 3, and relatively high QMS and CMS... characteristics that are very rare for car audio branded subs anywhere remotely close to this price range.
