These actually worked very well to replace woofers that had become unglued. I purchased two and they sound very good in the Thiel 3.6 application.

The fit was a little tighter than the original Thiel 10 inch woofers. But, they fit and the screw holes aligned perfectly.

I believe that these woofers are slightly louder and warmer than the Thiel's. The Thiel's had a little more impact. These drivers are absolutely acceptable replacements - even for crtical listening.

I used these woofers in a speaker system for a CrossFit gym. It's a 3000 square-foot industrial garage space, and during workouts, loud music is played. The music is played at such a volume as to compete with yells and dropping of barbells. The music is high-energy, frequently with a lot of bass content, and some of it very deep bass. I needed to build a speaker system that could handle loud sound levels and deep bass, and sound good doing it.

A pair of these woofers in a ~2 cubic foot ported box deliver nearly subwoofer-like performance! The bass is loud, low, and clean. I'm going to buy another one of these woofers to use as a subwoofer in a small travel trailer. I'm fully confident that it will fit that application perfectly due to its ability to play cleanly and at very low frequencies. If it can produce grunting lows in a 3000 square foot industrial garage, it should be more than capable of doing so in a much smaller space!

I used these to replace a blown woofer in one of my Martin Logan Ascents. These simply drop right in as if they were designed for them. The screw positions and countersinking are perfect. So perfect in fact it makes me wonder if these are the OEM's Martin Logan uses for the Ascent i. No soldering either. They simply plug in. I had both woofers changed in 5 minutes. They sound at least as good as the original Vifa's. In fact better to my ear. Bass seems tighter but just as deep.
