Audax HM170Z18 6.5" Aerogel Coated Paper Cone Woofer
Audax by AAC has released the popular Aerogel cone version of their 6.5" mid bass. While the Xmax on this unit makes it more suitable as a midrange, the performace is superb. It features a cast aluminum basket and phase plug. The cone is made of a unique acrylic polymer gel with a blend of Kevlar and carbon fibers embedded into it. This results in an ultra light and extremely rigid cone that produces outstanding clarity, precise imaging and unequaled sonic definition. Developed for no compromise high end designs, these drivers feature a die cast Zamak chassis.
