These things will be your favorite if you love chasing tiny gold screws around your floor. Some of them even come with the screws loose already so you don't even have to try dropping them. They just fall! They are non-magnetic (that's good) and they seem fairly sturdy. There are 2 screws, one for the jacket and one for the cable. It took me a few to figure out that you have to strip back about 3/4" of a 14 gauge cable then shove it in there to fill the space with the open copper. Then you tighten the first screw on the jacket and the second screw down onto the cable. If you don't shove enough cable into the end then the second screw won't tighten down on it and it might even fall onto the ground again, which is really fun if you love chasing tiny gold screws around your floor.
The high contact area of these is better than any banana plug style I've used including the expensive brands. The more contact area available the better the signal transfer. They flow Cardas quad solder very well. I solder the wires into them as any crimp or screw down will oxidize over time. These are not good for installs that need multiple removal and replace capability.
