Coaxial transducers are closer to a true point source compared to separate woofer/tweeter transducer combinations. This brings some advantages with regards to physical time alignment so that the sound source stays time coherent at any listening angle. The new Coaxial Satori MT19CP-8 is our take on a high end Coaxial transducer that is equally suited to midrange/tweeter reproduction in a larger multi-way speaker system or as a midwoofer/tweeter for a smaller monitor style speaker.

The new Satori coaxial driver SATORI MT19CP-8 is finally available! Please see new crossover design below. A very versatile coaxial 7.5" driver featuring a 38.5mm voice coil, Papyrus mixture paper cone, cloth surround, neodymium motor, and aluminium chassis. Satori is a Buddhist term for enlightenment that means "understanding" or "flash of awareness." Satori drivers are designed for subtlety and realism. Adding the MT19CP-8 to the family of high end Satori drivers is an exciting chapter for SB Acoustics. The Satori line of products are the flagship products within SB Acoustics and the MT19CP-8 is the newest addition to the Satori family and is the first Coaxial driver to appear in the Satori line which currently consists of a wide range of Midwoofer, Midrange and Tweeter transducers.
