Morel MDT32S 1" Textile Dome Tweeter, Aluminum Face Plate, Rear chamber

I used the Morel MDT32S to replace a couple of 34 years old Dynaudio D28AF drivers in an Audio Concepts Compact Monitor R2 kit that I built back then. The tweeter replacement was quick and easy; it included drilling pilot hole in the speaker cabinet for the mounting screws and replacing the crimped on female connector on the ends of each of the speaker's positive crossover lead. The resulting refurbed CM R2 speakers sound absolutely wonderful; balancing their sound required adding the felt tweeter damping rings that had long since been removed from my speakers. Thanks for having this tweeter replacement documented on your store site. In my case it was the perfect replacement for my aged CM R2 speakers. An absolutely fantastic and worthwhile 'upgrade', much thanks! Wish I had gotten to doing this years ago, now back to listening to some music.

As a commercial user of Dyn-Audio components, when it came time to choose components for a pair of midfield monitors I was reconfiguring, I found myself at a loss due to the fact that Dyn-Audio was no longer offering raw drivers for sale. How to find a better high frequency component with the same linear response curve, phase linearity, focus, stability at Freq's higher than 18k, and those characteristics through power levels exceeding 110db/m...... hmmmmm. After years of trying to find a match with those criteria and longevity of those spec's through consistent hours of critical monitoring at volume, I think the suggestion of the Morel line was needed much sooner. I'm so very pleased that I finally was guided in that direction. The MDT32s fit seamlessly into a three way configuration with virtually no additional voicing requirements which had been my biggest problem so far. The off axis sound propagation is extremely stable which lent itself to a much broader image field than I was ever expecting. The price point is the only area that might turn certain buyers away from this unit because they are expecting to pay $500 at least for a replacement with this kind of disposition. A must for serious consideration when meticulous performance is key, irrespective of cost!
