The Illuminator tweeters stand for superb vocal rendition and excellent imaging at all listening locations. TPCD diaphragms are constructed using multiple thin layers of carbon fiber that are stacked and bonded together to form a lightweight and stiff diaphragm. Each layer is engineered to cover the full cone or just some small areas, so that they combined give stiffness to the areas we want stiffness and softer with more damping where that is needed. This construction technique results in a material that is much stiffer than traditional diaphragm materials like paper or plastic, while still maintaining a low mass and good internal damping.

The Illuminator tweeters stand for superb vocal rendition and excellent imaging at all listening locations.  The unique AirCirc Magnet System and its rear chamber eliminate reflections and resonances that compromise the performance of traditional motors. TPCD (Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm) dome, applying the latest technology tweaks in order to realize the mechanical properties of carbon fiber that makes the tweeter a true Scan-Speak driver. The ultra lightweight, very high stiffness and very well controlled breakup patterns minimize distortion and maximize linearity, offering natural and – true to live – sound reproduction.
