Volt woofers produce rich, dynamic low-end frequencies and use the finest materials and advanced design techniques to minimize distortion and deliver clean bass. Radial Technology is based on a unique chassis design which, unlike conventional loudspeakers, is fitted to the heart of the magnet and is outside the enclosure in cool air, creating a massive heatsink. Heat is transferred away from the voice coil and magnet assembly so our speakers run cooler, giving you optimal sound quality, however long you listen.

Review of the RV3143

The uniquely designed RV3143 uses Radial Technology to allow exceptional power handling and reliability. The RV3143 features three cooling systems:- in addition to a vented magnet it uses the Radial chassis, which acts as a giant heatsink, plus a multi-finned magnet intercooler. This keeps voice coil and magnet temperatures exceptionally low resulting in superb reliability, 3dB less power compression and tight, clean bass even after prolonged operation at maximum power. The RV3143 has a symmetrical field magnet with extended centre pole for absolute linearity and transient control on high power peak inputs. It has double rear suspensions for stability and a 4 layer voice coil to maximise BL.

Volt makes some enclosure volume recommendations below, we've also simulated it and you could try the following for a starting point:

• 0.6 cubic feet sealed for f3 of 95Hz
• 1.0 cubic feet with 4” diameter vent by 6” long for f3 of 56Hz
• 1.5 cubic feet with 4” diameter vent by 6” long for f3 of 48Hz
• 2.0 cubic feet with 4” diameter vent by 4” long for f3 of 44hz
• 2.5 cubic feet with 4” diameter vent by 4” long for f3 of 40Hz
