MCA15RCY is a 15 cm (5")cone driver, developed for use as a high quality midrange unit. Classically-coated paper cone gives a smooth extended frequency response with a controlled roll off.

MCA15RCY is a 15 cm (5’’) cone driver, developed for use as a high quality midrange unit. Classically coated paper cone gives a smooth extended frequency response with a controlled roll off. The large magnet system, together with the light cone give high sensitivity with low distortion and good transient response. Extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflection, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.

Try a 0.8 cf3 to as small as 0.1 cf3 sealed enclosure for a 3dB roll off of about 180Hz.

Very happy with the purchase of this midrange from SEAS , Need a woofer or a Subwoofer to be listen properly . In 3 days of use I place the subwoofer in 105 HZ , to give the bass necessary to this incredible and detail midrange . I use only a JANTZEN 15 AWG coil of 0.55 mHy to made a first order @ 1800 HZ , Sound great , in future I will go step by step to 4000 HZ , and 2nd order . Time will tell . @ this moment , the SEAS midrange made me SMILE .
