Great Replacement

I recently warped the tweeters in my Polk R700's. It's not hard to do. At first I figured I should do a straight replacement, but I felt as if the highs were too separate from the turbine cone. They sounded brilliant, but there was too much of a gap for my liking. I don't care what the scientific graphs say, it just didn't sound right to me. I opted for these as replacements, as all the research and "stats" seemed to be what I was looking for. I am definitely not disappointed. I am actually very happy because it sounds amazing. No other modifications necessary, just a straight swap. Thank you, Madisound, and all the DIY community. I'm ready to get flamed now...

I swapped out my md-102’esotecs from dynaudio with these SB ceramics, and wow! I was surprised to find that my system came to life. I’m thinking the dyn’s are too laid back for me, although I’m not into the shrillness of focal’s either. These ceramics seem to be the perfect middle ground.

They are taking the full 120w my helix p-six is giving them, and I’m able to cross them much lower than the finicky md102’s - @ 2700hz instead of 3400hz (LR 2nd order).

And for $125 bucks? You’ve gotta feel these too - they’ve got some serious weight to them. The only downside is I had to eq some sibilance out around 6k, but that’s it.
