The Alpha 95 utilizes two Eminence AlphaLite-6B 16 ohm 6.5" Pro Midbass Drivers paired with a Scan-Speak Discovery H2606/9200 Horn Loaded 1" Textile Dome Tweeter in an easy to build, cost effective, & high efficiency speaker kit. 

Consider these for stereo listening or high impact home theater. They can be driven with the lowest powered amps offering warmth and immediacy, while also having the power handling and output to blow you out of the room with higher powered amps. Easy to blend with a subwoofer - cross over well under 100Hz. While not weatherproof, they also have the capabilities for outdoor/open-air/large room applications.

The Scan-Speak H2606/9200 tweeters are also being offered at a promotional price, making this design one of the best DIY speaker deals going! Singles can be purchased for 1/2 the pair price.

• Build to 9" wide x 21" tall x 11" deep (external dimensions using 3/4" material)
• Woofers have 144.5mm (5.69”) cutout & 167.5mm (6.59”) recess
• Tweeters have 72mm (2.83") cutout & 104mm (4.09") recess
• Space drivers < 0.75" apart, ok to (mirror) offset tweeters for closer overall driver spacing
• Cut a 4.25" port hole for optimal tuning (center behind tweeter, no port tube required)
• Use 3/4" material (mdf, birch ply, etc.) - keep baffle width at 9" & adjust height &/or depth if using thicker wood

Madisound Crossover Info

Each crossover is professionally assembled by Madisound on our silver tinned inlaid OFC copper circuit board. 

The series tweeter caps are Solen Poly Fast Caps. A small amount of attenuation is added via Mundorf MOX resistors, and the parallel inductor is a Sidewinder 16awg air core. 

The series woofer inductor is a Sidewinder 16awg air core, with a polycap in the parallel circuit.
