Commissioned by Scan-Speak for Axpona 2025 and being demoed again @ Axpona 2026!

The top of the line 3Scan is a compact and narrow tower design with a side firing woofer. High frequencies are provided by the new Scan-Speak D2908/716000 TPCD Dome Tweeter. This beauty recently replaced the Beryllium equivalent in the Revelator lineup. The mids are covered by the Scan-Speak 15M/8631G00, a 5.5" midrange specific Revelator driver utilizing the revered slit cone and SD-1 motor. Providing robust low end, mounted to the lower side panel of the enclosure, is the Scan-Speak 28W/4878T-01 Revelator 11" Woofer. This woofer features a 3" diameter voice coil, SD-1 motor, and produces effortless bass at delicate through thunderous output levels. These drivers are seamlessly integrated together, resulting in a well balanced and truly world class speaker!

Madisound Assembled Crossovers

Each channel is assembled on three Matrix sliver tinned copper inlaid circuit boards. The extensive bracing designed into the enclosure leaves minimal surface area for the crossovers. The tweeter and midrange boards mount to the side and rear wall of the cabinet, behind the sealed midrange sub-enclosure. The woofer board mounts to the bottom of the cabinet.

Crossover hookup sheets and provided. They show the specific contact points to solder the input and output speaker wires to.

Tweeter Crossover

ClarityCap CSA caps and Mundorf CopperNickel resistors in series. Mundorf MOX resistor and air core inductor in parallel.

Midrange Crossover

ClarityCap CSA Cap, Mundorf CopperNickel resistor, and air core inductor in series. Poly cap, air core indcutor, and Murndorf MOX resistor in parallel.

Woofer Crossover

Sledgehammer 15awg Steel Laminate inductor and Sidewinder 16awg air core inductor in series.
